 The Western Hotel Lobby is adorned by an ornate tin ceiling with original lighting fixture framed by playful stained glass windows. The historic lobby registration desk and enclosure are below the grand stairway to the hotel rooms. The lobby registration desk has served Ouray visitors for over 115 years. The guides of San Juan Scenic Jeep Tours who have been giving historic scenic tours of the high country ghost towns for over 60 years on those same stage and wagon routes now take Jeep tour reservations and begin their tours in the old hotel lobby. |
